Questa nave fu costruita per la compagnia
inglese Anchor Line e denominata TUSCANIA, effettuò il servizio
tra Glasgow a New York noleggiata dalla Cunard Line dal 1920 al 1930.
Nel 1939 fu venduta alla Grecia e rinominata NEA
HELLAS.Nel 1941 fu noleggiata del ministero dei trasporti inglese
e rinominata TUSCANIA e fu impiegata per il trasporto truppe. nel 1947
ritornò sotto bandiera graca per la Greek Lines e rinominata
NEA HELLAS. Nel 1955
fu rinominata NEW YORK. Fu demolita in Giappone nel 1961.
Built
for Anchor Line, British flag, in 1922 and named Tuscania (1922). Glasgow
to New York service. Chartered to Cunard Line 1926-1930. Sold to Greek
Line, Greek flag, in 1939 and renamed NEA
HELLAS . Transferred to British Ministry of Transport, British
flag, in 1941 and reverted to Tuscania (1922). Troopship service. Returned
to Greek Line, Greek flag, in 1947 and reverted to NEA
HELLAS . Renamed NEW YORK in 1955. Scrapped at Onomichi,
Japan in 1961.
