It was originally founded as ferry Ro/Ro, and has performed this service in Central America and then in Northern Europe. On 15.04.1985 underwent conversion work in cruise ship at the shipyard Blohm & Voss, Hamburg. 15.04.1985 The completed conversion work and renamed STAR DANCER started this new service that continues today between the U.S. and around the Mediterranean.
