Goletta lunga 30 m e larga 6,50, il Noctilio è un vecchio rig di 80 tonnellate armato con 400 m² di vela. Costruito negli anni '30, è originariamente armato a ketch.Non sappiamo molto delle sue attività tra il 1940 e il 1945 se non che lo troviamo alla fine della guerra affondato nel porto di Saint-Malo.
Una volta riabilitata e francesizzata, la barca va a Marsiglia ed è attrezzata per la pesca d'altura. Nel 1955 fu riconvertita per il trasporto e lo sgancio di proiettili della seconda guerra mondiale in alto mare. Quattro anni dopo, è di nuovo destinato alla pesca, questa volta costiera.
Nel 1973 la barca fu acquistata come relitto dall'attuale proprietario. furono necessari cinque anni di lavoro per riportarlo al suo aspetto originale.

Schooner 30m long and 6.50m wide, the Noctilio is an old rig of 80 tons armed with 400 m² of sail. Built in the 1930s, she is originally armed with ketch.We don't know much about her activities between 1940 and 1945 except that we find her sunk in the port of Saint-Malo at the end of the war.
Once rehabilitated and Frenchized, the boat goes to Marseille and is equipped for deep sea fishing. In 1955 she was converted for the transport and release of World War II shells on the high seas. Four years later, she is again destined for fishing, this time inshore.
In 1973 the boat was bought as a wreck by the current owner. it took five years of work to restore it to its original appearance.
