INFORMAZIONI STORICHE
Questa nave è stata la seconda La seconda CYTHERA ,fu costruita nel 1931 come Argosy da Germaniawerft, Kiel, Germania.
Fu acquistata dalla Marina Militare americana il 14 luglio 1942. Entrata in servizio il 26.10.1942 rinominata USS CYTHERA come pattugliatore con la sigla identificativa PY 31.
Il 3.01.1944 fu dismessa e posta in disarmo, il 14.03.1946 fu definitivamente messa fuori servizio a New York.
Il 06.11.1946 fu trasferita alla commissione marittima per lo smaltimento e nello stesso anno venduta alla Thyne Shipping Co che la rinominò ABRIL. In seguito fu rinominata BEN HECHT, e fu utilizzato nell'Aliyah Bet per l'immigrazione clandestina di ebrei dalla palestina.
Nel 1948 entrò in servizio per gli israeliani e rinominata INS MAOZ (K 24)
Nel 1956 fu venduta a un uomo d'affari israeliano e ribattezzato ABRIL.
In seguito fu acquistata dall società italiana di Napoli Navigazione Libera di Golfo e ribattezzata SANTA MARIA DEL MARE ed impiegata come traghetto nel golfo di Napoli.
Nel 2008 è stata venduta ,rinnovata, riverniciata,e trasformata in uno yacht privato di lusso come era in passato e messo in vendita per 15.000.000 di euro col nuovo nome di ROSSY ONE.

This ship was the second The second CYTHERA, was built in 1931 as Argosy from Germaniawerft, Kiel, Germany.
It was purchased by the US Navy on 14 July 1942. It entered service on 10/26/1942, renamed USS CYTHERA as a patrol boat with the identification code PY 31.
On 3.01.1944 it was decommissioned and laid up, on 03/14/1946 it was definitively taken out of service in New York.
On 06.11.1946 she was transferred to the maritime commission for disposal and in the same year sold to Thyne Shipping Co who renamed her ABRIL. It was later renamed BEN HECHT, and was used in Aliyah Bet for illegal immigration of Jews from Palestine.
In 1948 he entered service for the Israelis and renamed INS MAOZ (K 24)
In 1956 it was sold to an Israeli businessman and renamed ABRIL.
Later it was bought by the Italian company of Naples Navigazione Libera di Golfo and renamed SANTA MARIA DEL MARE and used as a ferry in the Gulf of Naples.
In 2008 it was sold, renewed, repainted, and transformed into a private luxury yacht as it was in the past and put up for sale for 15,000,000 euros with the new name of ROSSY ONE.
