Ex Enrico
Costa fu acquistata dalla Costa Line nel 1965. Essa in precedenza era
denominata PROVENCE di nazionalità francese di proprietà
della SGTM ( Societè. Gènèrale des Transportes Maritimes)
fu costruita nel 1951 da Swan Hunter sul Tyne essa espletava il servizio da Marsiglia
a Dakar e in Sud America. Nel 1987 la nave fu rinominata Enrico C e poi nuovamente
Enrico Costa. Nel 1994 fu venduta alla Starlauro, che la rinominò Symphony.
Nel 1995 la Starlauro divenne MSC ( Mediterranean Shipping Cruises ) e nel 2000
la Synphony fu noleggiata alla Golden Sun Cruises, che la rinominò
AEGEAN SPIRIT e fu impiega in crociere nel mar Egeo Nel 2001 fu rinominata
Ocean Glory 1, ma non potè effettuare alcun viaggio in quanto non
gli venne rinnovato il certificato di classe per motivi di igiene e sicurezza.
La nave rimase a Dover fino al mese di agosto 2001, in attesa di essere venduta
al prezzo di 1,7 M. USD, fu acquistata il 04.11.2001 da Goyal Treders e rinominata
CLASSICA

The
ship Enrico Costa was purchased by Costa
Line in 1965. It was previously named PROVENCE of French nationality owned by
SGTM (Societè. Generale des Transports Maritimes) was built in 1951 by
Swan Hunter on the Tyne it performed the service from Marseilles in Dakar and
South America. In 1987 the ship was renamed ENRICO C and then again Enrico Costa.
In 1994 it was sold to Starlauro, the renaming Symphony. In 1995 he became
the Starlauro MSC (Metiterranean Cruise Shipping) and in 2000 the Synphony
was chartered to Golden Sun Cruises, which renames the AEGEAN SPIRIT
and was used in cruise in the Aegean Sea in 2001 was renamed Ocean Glory 1,
but could not make any travel because he was not renewed certificate of class
for reasons of hygiene and safety. The ship remained at Dover until August 2001
before being sold at a price of 1.7 M. USD. It
was purchased from Goyal
Traders on 04.11.2001 and renamed CLASSICA
