Questa unità apparteneva alla classe LA MASA composta da 7 navi : ANGELO BASSINI - ENRICO COSENZ - GIACINTO CARINI - GIUSEPPE LA FARINA - GIACOMO MEDICI - GIUSEPPE LA MASA - NICOLA FABRIZI.
Derivato dalla classe Rosolino Pilo come tutte le unità precedenti fu attrezzato per la posa di mine, il lancio di bombe torpedini da getto ed il dragaggio in corsa. Nel 1929 venne classificato torpediniera. Dopo il 1940 l'armamento fu modificato in due pezzi da 102, 6 da 20 e 2 tubi lanciasiluri da 450.
Il 16.04.1943 mentre si trovava nel porto di Catania fu bombardata e affondata dagli aerei americani.

This unit belonged to the class LA MASA consists of 7 ships: ANGELO BASSINI - ENRICO COSENZ - GIACINTO CARINI - GIUSEPPE LA FARINA - GIACOMO MEDICI - GIUSEPPE LA MASA - NICOLA FABRIZI.
Derived from the class Rosolino Pilo like all previous units were equipped for the laying of mines, dropping bombs and torpedoes from jet dredging in the race. In 1929 he was ranked torpedo boat. After 1940 the armament was changed from two pieces 102, 6 from 20:02 torpedo tubes 450.
On 16/04/1943 while he was in the port of Catania was bombed and sunk by U.S. planes.
