Nel
1983 fu venduta ad una società cipriora e rinominata
AMETHYST.
IL 24.08.1984 al largo dell'isola di Kharg ( Lat. 28.02 N - Lon. 50.02
E )durante le ostilità tra Iran e Iraq fu colpita da un missile
lanciato da un aereo iracheno, il missile colpì la cisterna
n. 6 e si estese alla 7 ed alla sala macchine causando un grave incendio
che fu domato il 25 agosto. Nell'incendio morì un marinaio
filippino.
L'incidente causò anche una fuoriuscita di petroli greggio.

In 1983 it was sold to
a Cypriot company and renamed AMETHYST.
On 24.08.1984 off the island of Kharg (Lat. 28.02 N - Lon. 50.02 E)
during hostilities between Iran and Iraq was struck by a missile launched
by an Iraqi plane, the missile struck the tank no. 6 and extended to
the 7th and the engine room causing a severe fire that was flooded on
August 25th. In the fire a Filipino sailor died.
The incident also caused a leak of crude oil.
