                                                            INFORMAZIONI STORICHE
Varata nei cantieri di Pittsburg in Pennsylvania il 22.05.1943 è entrata in servizio il 13.07.1943 come LST 32 ed in seguito rinominata USS ALAMEDA COUNTY. E' stata una nave appoggio per il supporto delle forze da sbarco.Ha partecipato dal marzo del 1944 alla Seconda guerra mondiale impegnata nel Mediterraneo,posta in riserva nel 1946, rientrò in servizio nel 1951 per sostituire alcune navi impegnate nella guerra di corea.Il 01.07.1955 venne riclassificata AVB (Advance Aviation Base Ship). Nel 1957 fu ritirata dal servizio ed il 25.06.1962 radiata definitivamente. Il 20.11.1962 fu ceduta alla Marina Militare Italiana dove fu impiegata come nave appoggio per il supporto delle forze da sbarco.

Launched in the yards of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania on 22.05.1943 entered into service on 13.07.1943 as LST 32 and later renamed USS ALAMEDA COUNTY. It 'was a support ship to support the forces from sbarco.Ha participated from March 1944 to World War II engaged in the Mediterranean, placed in reserve in 1946, went into service in 1951 to replace some of the ships engaged in the war corea.Il 01.07.1955 was reclassified AVB (Advance Aviation Base Ship). In 1957 it was withdrawn from service and permanently decommissioned 25.06.1962. On 20.11.1962 he was transferred to the Italian Navy where he was employed as a support ship to support the landing force.
